ADVISORY DESCRIPTION:
This maintenance activity on the UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) will be performed at our IAD3 facility. Coresite will be energizing PDU's within CR402. To perform this start up the upstream UPS will need to be placed in maintenance bypass to prevent possible damage of UPS components due to the power transients caused by energizing a PDU. The upstream switchgear will be transferred to generator power to ensure that there is a reliable source of power feeding the UPS while it is in maintenance bypass. The UPS will only be in maintenance bypass while the PDU is being energized. PDU's will be energized and the SWGRs/UPS will be restored on the A side prior to moving to the B side so as to ensure that all customer's ha ve one power feed that is UPS backed at all times throughout this evolution.
